WHY DID MODUS COME TO US?
An acquisition is a lengthy process with extremely time-sensitive elements. A slow or poorly handled IT integration can quickly jeopardise business goals and affect productivity.
When the legalities of their acquisition were finalised, Modus Underwriting's previous data had to be securely transferred across and operating compatibly within OneAdvent's systems.
Once signed on the dotted line, Modus needed to hit the ground running to mitigate any risks or losses to their business. As part of OneAdvent’s network of trusted and proven suppliers, our team was primed to support their exciting new partnership
WHAT DID WE DO?
Initially, we coordinated with Modus’ previous owner on the secure transferral and cleansing of data from their systems.
Once in possession of their previous data and software systems, we set up Modus' basic IT infrastructure to work in harmony with OneAdvent. This included email migration to Office 365, setting up remote working and installing Citrix Virtual XenApp desktops. The team at Modus was only without their email for two hours.

Once Modus was integrated onto OneAdvent's infrastructure, we needed to do the same from a software perspective. Our team already had explicit knowledge of OneAdvent’s architecture and quickly gained an understanding of Modus' priorities. The actual integration involved extracting data from one system, putting in the other and testing to ensure it works.
Careful coordination, communication and planning from all parties kept the business acquisition process running smoothly and moving forward. With our team on hand, we successfully mitigated any risk or loss to their business with a seamless IT integration. Now on OneAdvent's platform, Modus Underwriting can springboard into an exciting period of growth in their new partnership.
